What is Energetic Tensegrity??
Well, Energetic refers to the BioElectroMagnetic Energy running through our bodies and surrounding each individual called an Energetic Field, or Aura. Some people can see Auras appearing as various colors, and we can certainly all feel this Field like a sort of bubble around us. When someone is behind you in a checkout line, and they are in an impatient or anxious mood, can you not feel that, and even take on some of those emotions without even thinking about it? This is because their Energetic Field is overlapping your Field. This same Energy runs through the body, as well and is partly confined to channels, or meridians. These meridians are used in Acupuncture. Energy surfaces at various points along the meridians, called Acupoints. These points are where and Acupunturist will insert a needle to manipulate and regulate the flow of Energy (or Chi, in Chinese)  As a Bodyworker, I know that this vital Energy is an intricate part of our human condition, and is important to address through subtle but very powerful ways. Throughout a Bodywork session, even a simple Swedish massage, any Energetic imbalances can be balanced. These imbalances must be addressed, because dysfunction in the Energetic Body can, and most often will, lead to dysfunction in the Physical Body.

  What about Tensegrity?
Tensgrity was originally an architectural term coined by Richard Buckminster-Fuller, the inventor of the "Bucky Ball" and the Geodesic Dome. His model of  Tensional Integrity has since been adapted by Bodyworkers to describe the important balance of the Human Body.
We stand upright, with our anterior, or front, muscles acting as antagonist opposite our posterior, or back, muscles (the same with our muscles side to side). The muscles and connective tissue push and pull against bone and joints causing us to stand much like a tent, a suspension bridge, or actually more like the "Bucky Ball" as shown below.
This continuous push and pull system must remain in a delicate balance in order to function and not dysfunction.
But how does one prevent dysfunction, or better yet, how can dysfunction be corrected?!
I am glad you asked!! Proper water intake is by far the best, cheapest, and most effective way to prevent problems in this biomechanical system of the human body.
